I am down only 1 pound. BUT...I will take it! I was sincerely hoping for three, so I could hit the big "10", but alas, it was not to be.
I have been trying walking every other day (with the exception of my trip, where I walked not one whit -- but sat in a car for 9 hours straight two days in a row), focusing on drinking MORE water, less tea. I have pretty much cut out all sugar except for the sugar in my tea and coffee...Note to self: buy some Stevia today. Funny thing is, I don't even miss the sugar. Next out is salt (this one will really hurt, as I love my salt...it should be MY picture on the Morton's salt cannister, not that little girl with the umbrella).
This week, my goal is to continue to make healthy eating choices - I am going to walk every other day if it kills me, and work my way up to 30 minutes of aerobic daily within the next two weeks. Gosh, when I read those goals, I feel like such an underachiever....but I have not been very active since the birth of our third child, so it will be a major accomplishment for me to stick to this!
Good luck to all of my fellow teammates at Tales from the Scales this week - and thanks for your encouragement!
UPDATED TO ADD: I am usually on top of my game when it comes to checking my scales, but in my blurry-eyed haze this morning, I didn't notice that my 2 year old had MOVED the dial on my scale again (one of her favorite things to do)- so I've really lost FOUR more lbs (not one) for a total of ELEVEN gone!!! Woo hoo!!!! Words fail me.

congrats! congrats!
Awesome job!!!!!
Is it bad when my scale says, "One at a time please?" I'm just saying..
Karen!!! That's awesome! You don't sound like an underachiever at all. I was thinking I needed to take this Challange a bit more serious after reading your post!
Congrats!
WOW! Good job!
Welcome back and congratulations on the weight loss! Good things come to those who weight :)
That is wonderful, Karen. Way to go and keep up the fabulous work.

Awesome!!! yay!!!! You know you can get more out of your salt if you cook it into your food instead of adding it afterwards... So if you're cooking single or double-portion-sized things ever (like eggs) then add half of what you would have normally during cooking and it goes further.
Wow, you are doing an awesome job!
Are you just cutting out added salt, or are you going to try and watch it in pre packaged stuff as well?
Thanks so much, everyone. Your encouragement means a lot to me.
Julianna...thanks for the great tip about the salt - I had no idea.
UKZoe - I actually don't buy much food that is prepackaged...only canned veggies and I definitely look at the sodium content there. We try to eat FRESH as much as possible.
I love it when mistakes work out to our favor1 That is phenonemal! Keep up the good work!
