This almost makes those blisters worthwhile...

I've never been much of a "green thumb" kind of girl...but my mama has always had one. I'm best at growing cactus...and weeds. See the theme? Neither requires much from me. If I'm to grow flowers, it takes a higher authority - someone who has a green thumb and isn't afraid to use it.

But with my mom's help, I'm learning. Here are the results of three years of efforts to get something to grow:

The question is...who's going to keep it up when my mom isn't here to tell me what to do anymore?

***Answers to your bloggiversary questions from yesterday will be posted later today! So check back - because right now? I'm tarred. That's Texan for exhausted.

Wow! Your yard is beautiful. I notice you have Stella D'Oro lilies. I do too but mine won't bloom until June at the earliest, even in a warm year. This year maybe July. Its interesting to see how far ahead of us you are.

i'm actually just the same - only with houseplants. every time my mom comes over i have her look at them and tell me what i'm doing wrong, and how to fix it. :)

Your landscaping and flowers are just beautiful! I hear you on the Mom help in the yard. My mother helps me a lot too. She's always had a green thumb and I am so glad she had me help her in the yard when I was a little girl.

That is some gorgeous landscaping. I am a horrible gardener because I hate it. Husband, though, keeps the yard and landscaping looking great.
