We have an appointment with an ortho specialist to follow up in the morning (hm, it's 2:20 am - does that mean it's really today?) and see if she's going to need a cast. I sincerely hope not, for her sake. She's already complaining that this splint itches. I can't imagine going four weeks in a cast with a 4-year old.
Here she is the evening it happened, tears are all gone and replaced with her thousand watt smile. Please disregard the ice-cream mustache...she has dad wrapped around her little pinky. Add an injury + baby of the family and that = ice cream.

That smile would indicate that the ice cream for medicinal purposes works! My hubby believes in it too.
And I do hope she doesn't need a cast!
Oh, I FIRMLY believe in ice cream for medicinal purposes. So glad it's not hurting too much anymore.
I'll keep my fingers crossed for no cast! Hopefully it will heal quickly!
she is just too cute!!!! And you know ice cream is the best medicine. I think it can heal just about any kind of pain :-)

Ohhh, poor baby and poor Mama! Sorry she got hurt but I hope she heals quickly. I recommend Moose Tracks ice cream for everything from a stubbed toe to a bad hair day! LOL Take care.
She sure is a cutie!! And I can see how that smile resulted in ice cream. :D
So I'm curious - is she right-handed or left-handed.
Ice cream makes everything better! I'm glad she is doing okay.
awwww! what a cutie pie! i'm so glad she is doing better!
Kids are so resilient, aren't they? glad she's doin okay!
What a cutie pie!
Ice cream works for just about everything, except dieting, of course - but that's a minor detail - and certainly not a concern of a child. Hope she's doing well with that cast.
