Exposed - is there a draft in here?

When I was 14, I kept a diary religiously. Inside it were my hopes and dreams, my fears, my lastest crushes, and long rants about how much injustice I'd suffered at the hands of my 6 older brothers -- it was a veritable plethora of information about me that inevitably found its way into the hands of one of my brothers, who never let me live the contents down. He still jokes about it to this day and I have not trusted him since then.

I never wanted to write in a diary again. I felt so betrayed. And then I met this thing they call blogging. Things that are different are not the same, but it's still a wonderful release for me - almost as therapeutic as that 25 year old diary. I've met new people and made some wonderful new friends. All because of a little Ebay moms group and a friend named Rachel. She started a blog and told us all to go and visit it and the yearning in me to create something again was born.

Wednesday marks the two year anniversary of my blog and I thought that I would open it up to YOU (all three of you who read me regularly) for a Q & A about who else...me! Try to exercise some restraint, because I know this is just so absolutely exciting for you that you'll hardly be able to contain yourself as you hit the "comments" link...

However, I'm continually amazed at how things change so quickly. Two years ago, my husband was in retail management - today we own our own business. Two years ago, I had only one child to homeschool, this fall, there will be three. Two years ago, I had a mother that was still parenting me, these days, I am the one parenting her. I recently re-read my first "100 Things" post and realized that while most of it still applied to our family, everything from our musical tastes to tastes in movies has "grown up".

Where we once watched Veggie Tales, now we watch Superman and anything to do with superheroes. My son is convinced that he has x-ray vision. The frightening thing is that when I asked him what color my bra was, he answered "Red," correctly.

And, there are things you may or may not know about us. There are things you may even wish I'd never told you...but even so, there are a few things that a couple of you might be interested in. Or not?

For instance:
~My husband is a lay-preacher (meaning he's not full-time but he also runs our business)
~We dated for all of 6 weeks before getting married (celebrating 7 years next Sunday)
~I've been married before (gasp! yes I have...hard to admit, but true)
~I wear a size 10 shoe (makes skiing soooo much easier)
~I actually love my mother-in-law and get this - I get along with her. (Hi Linda! - you know you're one of the three, right?)

Well, come to think of it, y'all probably know more than you want to know about me by now. But IF...(and I know it's a big if)...you want to know more...just ask. It's that simple - 'cause that's how I roll.

i will have to think about that for a bit... It is amazing to see how we change... This was a great post. Maybe it's something about the spring which has made me equally reflective. I have been working on a reflective post which I will post at some point...

Because I'm new to your blog and a homeschooler, I like to hear other homeschooler's reasons for homeschooling. That would be my question. The other would be, what is your favorite thing to write about and why?

Okay I found your blog through the bloggy carnival and there's just something about you that keeps drawing me back. This question may seem a little weird but here I go....

I have 4 children, 3 boys and then my sweet little girl. I would like to know what do you wish your mom knew to teach your brothers about being good protective big brothers without keeping you from having a life?

I want my boys to protect and love their sister but I don't want her to resent them for keeping her from having a life. I have a while considering my oldest is six and my little girl is 6 months buy hey its never to early to start right!!!

Since you were kind enough to leave a question on my blog I had to share the love and leave one for you. Make that two.

What is your favorite song to belt out when you're all alone in the car?

If you were to be made into a Veggie Tales character what vegetable or fruit would you be and why?

At a carnival, cotton candy, popcorn or a hotdog?

Where do you store your pajamas when you aren't wearing them?

What are your blogging goals, if you have any? Do you keep up with your stats and want to grow readership? What do you want to accomplish with your blog?

I have a question, that I've been wondering for awhile. When I come over to a post from Google reader, I can't click on anything to get to the main page. Normally the blog header has a link to the home page of the blog, but yours doesn't. Is there a reason for this? Maybe there's a home button that I just haven't found. I love the design of your blog though! It's very pretty!

I love Fried Okras questions!

How did you and your hubby meet? I know you got married pretty quickly but how did you meet in the first place?

What is your favorite fruit and why?

What are your plans this summer with the kids?

k, that's enough, right?
