All good things come in Threes - a giveaway!

***If you're here via Bloggy Giveaways - please go to item #3 - that's the giveaway!***

Mondays are good days for announcing things, don't you think? It's long been known that I'm a maker of lists and enjoy the pleasure of accomplishing tasks and marking them off of said lists, if for nothing else than just the satisfaction of seeing something was actually completed.

1. My brand-spanking new Design Blog is finished. I am so excited about it - I coded it myself (which explains why some of you who have MSIE6 and FF2.0 will have viewing issues - working on the bugs still). You can visit it if you like, or not. I still have some work to do on it and there are still a few pages that are either buggy or not complete, but honestly? I just wanted to get it out there so I could announce part two of my list.

2. My order pad is open for business. Yay! I already have a wait-list of five people, but I will accept new clients as well - please go to my new Design Blog for the new pricing list and to place your orders.

3. And finally, today is the first day of a special giveaway I hinted around at last month. Some of you know that my husband recently got me the full Adobe CS3 Creative Design Suite (I had just purchsed the Photoshop CS3 two months earlier) - and apparently he got a steal because they were just about to come out with version 8 - so he couldn't wait until Christmas (so much for surprises) because he knew how much I'd been wanting it. (Everyone say "awww")

So what's the giveaway? Adobe Photoshop CS3, of course! It is the original disc with the original packaging - the box and getting started manual come with it. The only catch is that it had been installed on my computer once. I uninstalled it when I received my new one so it's ready to go for someone else, complete with the product and registration key. It's like BRAND NEW, people.

I'm not Pioneer Woman...so I'm not giving away a brand new copy, but you can think of it as "re-gifting" or whatever floats your boat. It's all good and I would have killed for a good used copy when I started my design business earlier this year...as it was, I spent over $300 on it. Someone is going to win it for free.

If you're still with me - here's the hoops:

1. One entry per person per day. Yes, I said per day. You may enter once a day every day up until October 31st, at which time I will close comments and commence the drawing using a random number generator, or my pointing finger, depending on how many comments there are.

2. Please tell me why you want to win this in your comment...all comments that are generic "count me in!" and "I'd love to win this" will be thrown out, because I can do that.

3. Giveaway is open to bloggers and non-bloggers alike - open to US and Canadian residents.

4. Giveaway ends Friday, October 31st at midnight, winner will be contacted via email and announced on this blog.

5. I can't believe I have to remind folks this - but PLEASE leave me a way to contact you - an email or your blog address with an email address - I will not leave a comment on a blog letting you know you've won. I need the ability to EMAIL you. Thanks!

How's that for a Monday? Pretty good, huh?

Look on the bright side! Subscribe via my RSS feed.

I don't think my previous comment went through...

I'd LOVE to win this because my current photo editing software doesn't allow me to do anything other than just crop. I'd love to play with some of the "fancy" features, haha.

I will be gifting this to a friend if I win. she is starting a photo biz and needs cool stuff like this.

Who knows she might be so happy as to give me a free shoot... I can dream right?

OMGosh - I wouldn't care if you've used this once or a million times - it's a FREE Photoshop!! I've been wanting Photoshop for years for my photography. I played around with it years ago when the boys were babies but alas, they were babies and required a lot of my time. They're older now and I have much more free time to learn it. It's at the top of my xmas list but DH says "not at that price". lol I'm an amateur photographer and would love to learn how to manipulate my photos. Oh, this is soooo cool, thank you for the chance to win one!!!

Hubby is a retired photographer and I am a serious amateur photographer. He has a really old version of Photoshop (like version 2.0) from well over a decade ago, and I use Elements 6.0. We greatly enjoy doing photography together with our traveling, so this great program would be a blessing to us! And I post pretty pictures on my blog for all the world to see! My fingers are crossed, LOL.

Great giveaway, new or not! The only photo editing program I have is the one that came with my cheap digital camera, lol. A real Photoshop program would be great!
Lisa said…
I have been wanting this program for quite some time now. As an amateur photographer, I've outgrown my Jasc Paint Shop Pro from 8 years ago, and GIMP doesn't cut it. Also, I started designing some fabric at Spoonflower and need to be able to work in LAB color space! I will do backflips if I win this - I've been eyeing it forever. :)
Reasons I want to win...

1. I'm design-dumb...but there are tons of tutorials online to use Photoshop to make your photos look awesome.
2. I had a trial version, fell in love, and couldn't afford to buy it when the trial ran out.
3. My mean mean husband doesn't believe that Photoshop is a necessity in our ever-squeezing budget. And while I agree...I think he should have gone to bat for me. :)

I would love to win this because I've NEVER had any photo editing software before because I can't afford it. Since becoming disabled with chronic pain and not being able to teach anymore, I've been anxious to learn photography and photo editing. It's something I've wanted to do since Jr. High School yet never had enough electives in school or time since graduating to dedicate to it. It would mean the world to me to be able to start this dream of mine and watch it become a reality.

This is an extremely generous giveaway, and I'm so excited to have the opportunity to enter to win it!!!

Thanks so much!!

That's the likely number of hours in a row per day you will find me at the computer playing with Photoshop. IF I win, of course. If not, well then that will be the number of pots of ashes I will have to heap upon my head...

so last night i kept thinking about how great it would be to have my very own cs3. ohhh...all the things i could do. but like i said in my previous entry...my budget for such luxuries is empty. did i mention how nice you are to just be giving this away??? you could have totally sold this program.

okay, so down to a better reason. i am going to be starting a photography class in a few weeks. (an awesome gift) and would love to have this great program to work on my photos with.
OH MY GOODNESS. I think I missed a day of commenting.

But it's all good. That wasn't the one I needed to win, now was it? LOL!! Cause I'm just waiting. Waiting to win. :D

I've entered once already, but wanted to toss my name in the hat again. What a long shot, LOL! You would make two retired folks who LOVE photography very, very happy! We enjoy this hobby together and it meshes well with our love of travel. I have some really pretty pics on my blog too, so I would be spreading the joy to others! Pick me - PLEASE!

I would love, love, love to win the Photoshop pack!!! I've been using an ancient version, and I would love to have this! It would be a great early Christmas present =) Thanks for the chance!
I already said I would love to win in order to make better blogs, have Lisa do better in her photography class and/or yearbook... Then I said I would like to use it to maybe start my own home business... now here is my last entry/reason... cause I think this is about the most AWESOME thing I could EVER use!
i don't know how but i'd like to see if could teach myself to restore old familly photos.I'm talking about where apart of the face is missing but they fix it buy mirroring it. I pretty sure that this could get the job done. I'd also like to learn how to get the creases taken out some photos so that they look nice and new! whew, i could care less if this was used once, it's really nice of you to offer it. thank you for the chance!

Would love this for my husband. He takes a lot of photos for the band and spends time "messing" with them, cropping, etc. then posting on Shutterfly or somewhere so they can all order what they like. I am talking lots of hours of work for free just so the kids can enjoy themselves. Would be a wonderful tool for him.

Thanks for having the giveaway!

I officially have another favorite blog to read. Even if you're not doing a contest, I happen to like what you have going on around this corner of the blogosphere.

So, I don't have any more reasons why I would like to win, because so many people could use it. I'm sure whoever wins it will put it to good use!

Thanks for the chance, Karen!

Wow Day #11 and my final shot at this (unless I sneak in one final comment just after midnight for another chance)

So my reason for today? Easy- I purchased some actions a month or so ago to use in my designs but not reading the fine print (typical me) I failed to see that they didn't work in elements =( . So if I won this I could do all sorts of fun things to the elements in my scrapbook kits- AND I'll make you cookies or brownies or your favorite treat! (I'm shameless I know!)

Thanks again Karen! audrajjensen(at) msn dot com
Ah...the anticipation builds. The last day is here. By now, it's obvious how much I'd love to have this. Along with umpteen other commenters. I know it would be well-loved and used here by my son and me. It's a wonderful giveaway, Karen. Thanks for doing this - no matter who wins.

love,
dianne :-)

entry # 3
wow...the thought actually owning the CS3 program. I was just hoping to be able to buy the ps 7 program...but thinking of all the things i could do with CS3 instead.

i would love this program because i just enrolled in a photography class. somehow managed to convince my husband to let me get a new canon camera. and think i am limited by my elements 5 program. Yet with paying for the class and camera...the piggy bank will be to empty to purchase my own newer version of any photoshop program.

thanks for the opportunity to enter the contest. ramfam2001@gmail.com

What a great give away, whoever wins will be lucky. I'd love to win it to use on the pictures I take of my daughters, I have so many that are beautiful and with the touch up I could do with this they'd look professional.
Friday - last day. I hope I remembered Thursday. So why do I want this? Because I REALLY would like something to go my way. Today, I had to take the car into the shop because the clutch and gears weren't working. Good thing I don't have to drive to work (that would mean I had a job). I'm not a slouch I'm just feeling like my share of bad karma is a bit much right now.

Thanks for listening (if you are listening).
