Here's one in comparison to my daughter:
(oh, I KID...it's not really that big - but you try walking into one of those webs unaware...)

ooh my I don't think I like those at all, ok not a lot of think has to go into it , I do like those, but the first picture is kinda cool, the bright colors of the "monster" (that is what we call them in my house) against the brick is actually very pretty..did I just call a monster pretty...it must be a great shot then! Sorry so wordy....Happy WW
Your daughter looks like I feel about spiders! Please keep them in Texas!
Oh my! I didn't realize I feared spiders until now. I'm adding them to my list...frogs, mice, lizards, spiders...
That is the biggest spider i have ever seen! Wow!!!
Haha! Your daughter does not look amused! We had one in our garden last year -- only maybe since we're in Georgia, it was a Georgian Garden Spider?
Happy WW!
(Shudder.) Hey, at least it'll eat up plenty of those nasty Texan Skeeters, right? (Just polishin' the dull side, ma'am. Polishin' the dull side.)
I'm sorry, did you say AVERAGE?! ACK! I'd be so freaked out I'd probably run INTO the web instead of away from it. And I have to agree with the commenters, your daughter's expression is priceless!

EWWWW. oh my goodness...
That's quite a spider...good thing it's not poisonous, as it seems to love your place. happy ww
Just the one I'm scared of! And your daughter seemed scared of it, too. :-)
Great picture!!
LOL! She seems so thrilled to take part in this. That spider is amazing. I recently posted a pic from a trip to NC where we discovered a Black Widow in the garden and I thought that was hair-raising. You've got me beat! Happy WW :P
Our garden spyders in Kansas don't look like that or I'd be running for the hills!! LOL
We have some like that as well. They're huge!! Avoiding their webs is definitely advised. Otherwise you might get stuck. ;)
yuck, I hate spiders!
visit my ww for a cup of coffee!! Happy ww!

Eeewwww, spiders creep me out!
That is quite a photo. We have a lot of spiders where I live and my one daughter just hates them. She makes me take them out of the bathtub before she'll get in.
I read your interview tips on another blog, which is how I found you. I'm so glad to have read your answers. They were awesome!!
I am now glad that all we have are little jumping spiders around our house.
Good grief!!!!!!!http://timkellyjenna.blogspot.com/2008/07/wordless-wednesday-my-view-from-top-one.html
what is it about Texas? we get those huge banana spiders, too. they still creep me out!
Fun/creepy shots :)
happy ww
We have those.....eeeeeewwwww, cool, but eeeeeeewwww
We had some nasty spiders in Arizona, but only the sewer roaches were that big! Glad to be back in Idaho where only the hobos scare us.
very creepy looking! like mia's mama said, everything's bigger in texas!
oh wow that is a great (scary) picture of your daughter and the spider, though she really doesn't look pleased lol.
Ohhh I have a pic of one on my blog here:
http://stitchblade.blogspot.com/2007/08/texas-is-hotand-has-crazy-bugs.html
Ewww, my skin is crawling just looking at that thing!
I think I'll pass on the 'walking into their web' bit. Yikes!!
Have a great (spider-free) day!!
Ok - I don't mean to get into a "my spider is bigger than your spider" contest, but I recently had a very large visitor on my front porch as well. And if our bricks are the same size, your spider might have been a hair larger.
You tell me:
http://wheretheboysare.wordpress.com/2008/07/16/eight-legged-freak/
That is a HUUUUUUUUUGE spider. Yikes!!! I'm afraid of the tiniest of spiders to the biggest, it doesn't matter. ICKY!!!!!
