I'm not really here and you aren't really reading this. I'm trapped in a swirling vortex of homeschooling goodness and mayhem even as you read (well, more than likely...unless you're reading this at 6 am...in which case I'm still snoozing under the covers). Happy Labor Day, everyone - hope you're all fortunate enough to be able to take the day off from work - you've earned it. I will not be taking the day off, as I still have 3 loads of laundry to finish from this weekend...but that's another story for another day. A couple of quick notes before I start the day: 1. Lucky for me, my husband loves this guy as much as I do...or he might think I'm strange for watching Tim's videos over and over again. Y'all...I have a sick, twisted sense of humor - albeit clean. This guy is right up my alley, because I do this to songs ALL the time. My kids friends either think I'm the "coolest mom ever" or they say I'm really "weird"...there's no middle ground with me. What they don't know is that I'm really an 18 year-old trapped inside a 39 year-old woman's body. Think of me this weekend as I have my nose buried in my monitor screen fulfilling my CE requirements for the State of Texas, won't you? There's nothing I like less than tests and studying, especially 30 straight hours of it. But I figure this weekend is the time to get it done, especially since my licenses will go by the wayside if I don't take these online courses. I just love a whole wheat tortilla. You can take a wide variety of items and insert them in the center of it, roll it up and you've got a tasty "wrap-up" treat. Sort of like this blog post, only you'll probably be more satisfied when you eat the Wrap=up vs. reading it. I took this weekend off of the computer for some much needed creative rest and I must say that I feel so much better. Oh sure, I miss twittering and reading everyone's blogs, but there was something liberating in making the decision NOT to be online for a few days. I checked my mail and posted some things I had already written, but other than that? I was spending the time with my kiddos and my sweet, supportive husband. What I've noticed is that I have a tendency to fool myself into believing that I'm working online when I'm really not. I'll say I'm researching something for my next blog design (and I always start out doing that), but I always end up twittering or following links...

This weekend was just so. much. fun. Thank goodness for Blogger's auto-post feature, because believe it or not, I wasn't online this weekend at all, except to check my email in case any orders came in. But did you know that when you set something to auto-post, you have to make sure you have set it to post on Sunday, June 8th and NOT Sunday June 15th? That's what happened to the Mystery Photo Contest reveal - it was set for a week out. (oops..my bad). When I twittered it, I told everyone it was super-duper easy...and boy was I right - just about everyone guessed what it was, although someone asked why it was on an orange background...hmm...because it's a stock photo? :) But Courtney from A Mom Speaks was the first person to correctly guess the photo - so congrats, Courtney !
